Comments: Does anyone know where I can write Tanya Allen? She was the intern in "The Newsroom". Also would like to have a mailing adress for Ken Finkleman. I can't think of any US productions that can compete with "The Newsroom", or "More Tears". Also Tanya Allen was "Patient Zero", in an "Outer Limits" segment. My only visit , I'm ashamed to say, to your great country weas to Montreal in the 60's. after the filth of Phila. and NYC, we couldn't get over the cleanliness of the city. Is it still the same?

Comments: This was the first time I was on your site but I now have it in my bookmarks. I would like to make one comment. You should have a listing just for productions filmed in Canada if you are able to get that imformation. It would be a great addition. Thank you for your time.

Comments: Isablle Mejias got married and acted under her new name Isabelle Jamieson for a couple of years before falling off the map completely in 1993. As for her early stuff, there are various sellers on eBay hawking her first 1980 movie Girls.

Comments: Commenting on a couple of earlier entries:

Anyway you find this site is the correct URL as far as I'm concerned. The problems with the counter is just something that we'll have to work on (not that it matters that much).

As for additions: the site is updated fairly regularly, though "new" reviews might just as likely be a twenty year old film as one released last year. It takes time.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS is reviewed.

Comments: Although the standards by which something is judged "Canadian" enough to be included on this site can be, at times, subjective, in the case of "The Art of War", it is generally considered a Canadian co-production by most industry criterions (and is listed as such on the Internet Movie Database, for instance). The director, many of the production people (producer Nicolas Clement, executive producer Don Carmody), and, one assumes, the financing, was Canadian. Conversely, a movie like "The Pledge" was simply an American movie that was filmed in Canada.

Comments: THE ART OF WAR has well-known Canadian actors in strong supporting roles (Donald Sutherland and Maury Chaykin). ANd there is also has alot of Canadian involvment in the production. THE PLEDGE has much lessor known Canadian actors in bit-roles only and is not much more than a "runaway" US production shot in Canada to save money.

BTW, that cartoon KEVEN SPENCER should be in here.

Comments: There's another raunchy sex-comedy fireman movie made the same year as FIREBALLS called FIREHOUSE. FIREHOUSE has a bit of notoriety today because it stars Julia Roberts in a small (clothed) bit-part and Jennifer Stahl who got murdered in a drug hit last year.

As with FIREBALLS, Cindy Fidler is the only actress with more than one acting credit (the actors are not much better).

Comments: I just read an article on the making of FIREBALLS in the October 7 1987 edition of MACLEAN'S. Charles Weiner was the director and Mike and Dave Strapko were the producers. The budget was 250,000 dollars and it was shot in Midland Ontario in 5 weeks in august and september of 1987. There is a nice photo of the lead actresses.

Comments: What is a "Canadian Movie" by the standards of this site? THE ART OF WAR is listed only because it was shot in Canada. If that be the case then why not list THE PLEDGE starring Jack Nicholson which was shot in B.C.

Comments: It may be an uncredited role because she has no lines and her face is not shown.Only one actress had a speaking part so that must be Sabrina Boudot. Cindy Fidler was the table dancer in the orange bikini. At chijani.freeservers.com/reviews/exotica.htm the first vidcap shows a nude redhead. I am 90% certain it is Cindy Fidler. In RELIC HUNTER episode THANK YOU VERY MUCH Tia a Christian go into an East German strip bar and there is a long shot of the room and we see a redhead in a bikini on stage who I am cetain is Cindy Fidler who was regular stunt performer in the series during the first season.GET OVER IT when Kylie Bax gets run over by a dune buggy and does a flying flip Cindy is the women you see. Ther was an article in the paper about her shooting that scene at Ashbridges Bay on august 3rd 2000.Has anyone seen the uncensored version of her full nude scene in LOOSE SCREWS? My 75 minute version scene was censored down to almost nothing.

Comments: Will DRIVE-IN CLASSICS CHANNEL be showing any of these canuksploitation flics? Some VCR alerts would be nice.At UNCLE SCOOPY'S FUN HOUSE a guy named Spaz specializes in obscure Canadian actresses. He did vidcaps of everyone in these movies but for some reason did only Cindy Fidler for FIREBALLS. E.N.G. episode DIRTY TRICK has some great footage of her doing a table dance in an orange bikini but you can't see her face and it may be uncredited.

And Cynthia Belliveau acted under the name "Cyd Belliveau" for some reason.

Comments: re: LOOSE SCREWS , SCREWBALLS , ODDBALLS:

Saw all three and they all stunk. ODDBALLS is a MEATBALLS ripoff and is aimed at kids. SCREWBALLS is a PORKY's ripoff and LOOSE SCREWS its sequel. Only notable thing is Cynthia Belliveau finally goes topless at the end of LOOSE SCREWS. SCREWBALL ACADEMY is another stinker.

Comments: Getting Married at Buffalo Jump was available on video but is now out of print so you have to go to eBay/Amazon Zshops. But the bad news is the video has part of the skinny dipping scene cut out so you won't see Paul Gross's butt. You may want to wait for it to air again on Showcase in Canada which shows the skinny-dipping scene in full.
