THE HEROES

Captain Canuck a.k.a. Tom Evans:

Costumed hero with strength and speed slightly above normal thanks to being bathed in an alien ray beam while a Scoutmaster for some Boy Scouts.

A career police officer, first with the RCMP, then CISO, before becoming CISO's show-piece to the world as Captain Canuck. He became disenchanted with CISO bureaucracy and resigned to go freelance, on call to whoever needed him (though he still usually worked for CISO).

He was raised in Winnipeg and his parents are (apparently) still living, though never seen; he has a brother named Mike. He is trilingual (at least) -- French, English and at least some German -- and has Native Indian blood, but how much is not clear (one of his parents? an ancestor?). Early issues portrayed him as a deeply religious man, but later issues dropped that. Midway through the series his costume was modified and a bulletproof plate was added under his cowl.

Head of CISO.

Early issues spelled his name "Sun" and depicted him as maybe in his '40s -- a bit young for, essentially, Canada's spymaster. Later stories had him craggy-faced and seeming much older.

A nurse who inadvertently found herself drawn into the Captain's world of intrigue, they later met again when Heather (now with an afro) was searching for her estranged husband, Lowell. Subsequently a widow, she and C.C. were well on their way to being an "item".

Kebec (real name unknown):

An elite CISO agent, he is a francophone and C.C.'s "former partner" (at least, that was the back story -- in fact, Kebec made his first appearance with Redcoat; the only time Kebec and C.C. were depicted working sans Redcoat, was in the story, "The Money Run" in the Summer Special). He's the one in blue.
Redcoat (last name Randon, first name unknown):
Rookie anglophone partner to Kebec. An elite CISO agent. He's the one in red.

A British Lord and physicist who formed a private, anti-terrorist organization called Earth Patrol after his wife's murder (sounds like a forerunner to the TV series Counterstrike, doesn't it?). He has an adult daughter (also like in the later Counterstrike).

An American Indian and electronics expert, generally known by just plain Stardance, he is Lord West's right hand man at Earth Patrol.

Mike & Saskia Evans:

C.C.'s brother, Mike, was also a CISO agent. He was crippled in the line of duty, but miraculously recovered enough to the point where he could walk with a cane, a recovery he credited to his nurse -- and subsequently his wife -- Saskia.

A high-ranking officer/astronaut in Canada's space program. She made two appearances in the series.
